Wrinkle removal and Skin tightening using Laser

Fraxel Dual is available in two wavelengths: 1550 and 1927. Shorter wavelengths, such as 1550 nm, absorb less water and penetrate deeper into the skin, resulting in more significant dermal effects such as collagen remodeling and reduction of dermal dyschromias such as melasma. The longer wavelength, such as 1927 nm, absorb more water and penetrate deeper into the skin, making them ideal for treating epidermal pigmented lesions such as lentigines and ephelides. Fraxel can be used in conjunction with all other wrinkle removal techniques on all skin types, but caution should be exercised in darker skin due to an increased risk of PIH.

Types of Lasers

This laser can be used in conjunction with other lasers to treat pigmentation and vascularity, such as the Q-switch nanosecond laser. By stimulating collagen synthesis and remodelling without causing damage to the epidermis, the fractional non-ablative laser rejuvenates the skin. The downtime associated with this type of laser procedure is significantly less than that associated with an ablative laser such as CO2. The Fraxel Dual is the gold standard in skin tightening and wrinkles removal treatment. It is equipped with a Thallium glass laser and a fractional hand.

Laser for Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a prominent feature of photoaged skin. Skin structure changes histologically over time as a result of chronic sun exposure. Among the characteristics are a thin cellular epidermis, a loss of skin elastic recoil due to a reduced dermal extracellular matrix, and a significant decrease in structural proteins such as elastin and collagen. One of the advantages of using a non-ablative laser is the ability to stimulate skin resurfacing and collagen production without damaging the stratum corneum.
