Non-surgical lower face augmentation
In this case, our patient is a female in her sixties who previously underwent a surgical facelift approximately 10 years ago. She visited us to improve her side profile and achieve a more defined jawline.
Patient concerns
We opted for a non-surgical approach using threads and HA fillers to address the patient’s concerns. We used two threads on each side of the face to lift the skin around the pre-jowl area and marionette lines. This technique is commonly known as a “thread lift,” It involves inserting threads beneath the skin to lift and tighten sagging skin. In addition, we used one syringe of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers around the jawline to add volume and definition to the area.
Pre-jowl Assessment
Before starting the treatment, we took detailed pictures of the patient’s face to assess the areas of concern accurately. After the procedure, we took another set of pictures to document the immediate results.
Pre-jowl correction results
The before and after pictures significantly improved the patient’s profile. The pre-jowl area and marionette lines were visibly lifted, creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. Adding HA fillers around the jawline provided a more defined and sharper jawline, creating a more balanced facial structure.
It is important to note that the results of this treatment are not permanent and will require maintenance sessions in the future. However, the non-surgical approach used in this case is less invasive and requires less downtime than traditional surgical procedures.
In conclusion, this pre-jowl correction, marionette line correction, and jawline sharpening using threads and HA fillers was a great success. Our patient was thrilled with the immediate results, leaving our clinic feeling more confident and satisfied with her appearance.
