Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift in Edmonton

A non-surgical eyelid lift is a cosmetic procedure that restores the youthful look of your face without surgery in Edmonton. If your eyelids are feeling droopy or baggy, a non-surgical blepharoplasty can help add volume to wrinkled skin and smoothen puffy eyelids.

In the past, the only way to perform an eyelid lift was through surgery, an expensive and painful procedure with a lengthy recovery period. With non-surgical eyelid lift, plastic surgeons use dermal fillers and threads to bring out the youthful beauty in your face.

If you have sagging eyelids, or the skin around your eyes look puffy or droopy, a non-surgical eyelid lift may help bring back your beautiful face. In older people, droopy eyelids can obstruct sight and the condition can make younger people look more advanced than their actual age.

Men and women can use this procedure as it is safe, fast, and has little downsides. Read on to know the benefits of a nonsurgical eyelid lift and who is the best candidate for the procedure.

Why Nonsurgical Eyelid Lift?

As we age, our body loses its plump and taut texture, and many places lose volume. Volume loss in the skin around the eye creates dark circles and puffy eyes. The skin’s surface also becomes drier, resulting in crow’s feet, fine lines, wrinkles, and many other signs of aging.

When this occurs over time, you look older than your age and wear a tired face around all day. This makes you less attractive, but it can also affect your sight and even lower your self-confidence.

A non-surgical eyelid lift lets you augment volume in areas where fat has been lost and smooth sagging skins without undergoing unpleasant surgery. Non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as dermal fillers, PDO thread, and other nonsurgical techniques are used for eyelid lifts. Although the outcomes may not be permanent, these procedures involve minimal pain and offer instant results.

Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty

Many individuals are concerned about extra skin around their eyes, sometimes mistaken for an aged or tired appearance. Plasma was invented as the sole non-surgical option to blepharoplasty; the process eliminates extra skin and addresses the hooded eye with Blef Fraxel laser. The laser tip is positioned 1-2mm above the skin’s surface, and numerous shots are administered close together to the treatment region; this evaporates the skin and lifts the extra skin. The treatment takes around 30-45 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the region being treated. You may get a burning feeling following treatment, but this should subside within a few hours. We will prescribe anti-inflammatory medication, a cold compress, antibiotic ointment, and FPS to protect the skin during the healing process. After a few days, the spots will harden into crusts, and the skin will become extremely sensitive. Results are seen roughly eight weeks after therapy. Between 5 and 6 months following therapy, the optimal effect occurs. Before any therapy, we will evaluate the concern through consultation, and we will tailor a treatment plan to fit your unique needs.

These “barbs” don’t hurt, and they make sure the thread stays in place as the thread is pulled tight. When a barbed thread is put in, your body starts to heal itself. Even though the threads under your skin aren’t hurting you, your body senses a suture material and starts making collagen in the area where the threads are. Collagen can fill in the gaps in your skin and give your face a more youthful look.
Getting a thread lift is thought to be a low-risk procedure that doesn’t require a lot of recovery time, but there are some side effects and a chance that things could go wrong, too. There are many things that can happen after a thread lift: bruising swelling bleeding At the site of the thread injection, there was a little pain. There is a 15% to 20% chance that there will be problems, such as dimpling. Possible problems are small and can be quickly fixed.
After a thread lift goes well, there isn’t much of a recovery period. You can go back to work right away, even though there might be some visible swelling and bruising. Results should start to show right away after the threads are put in. You may see more in the days and weeks after the threads are put in, as swelling and bruising goes down. The results of a thread lift aren’t meant to last long, but they can. A good thing usually lasts from one to three years. You will eventually get rid of the threads used during the procedure, just like with other types of fillers that dissolve, like Botox. After a thread lift, you can go back to your normal life. Your doctor may tell you not to rub your face too hard and not to sleep on your side for the first few weeks after the surgery.
After talking with your doctor and setting up an appointment, you may be given some do’s and don’ts for how to prepare for your thread lift. Do tell your doctor about any medications you’re taking before you have a procedure. try to be calm and avoid things that make you stressed. The night before your appointment, make sure you get enough sleep. avoid foods that are known to cause inflammation in your body. Make sure you don’t drink alcohol the night before you have a thread lift so you don’t hurt yourself. People who are taking blood thinners or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like ibuprofen, should start taking them a week before their thread lift.

Information about Eyebrow lift

Who Are Candidates for Non-surgical Eyelid Lift?

Non-surgical blepharoplasty is ideal for people with volume loss or sagging skin in the upper and lower eyelids. You can also do the procedure if you have droopy eyes and puffiness in the lower eyelid. It is beneficial if the skin is obstructing your vision or reducing the visual appeal of your face. During your consultation, we will go over the best procedure that will provide your desired outcomes. Note that a non-surgical eyelid lift is not applicable to every case. If the eye puffiness or droopiness of the skin is prominent, a surgical blepharoplasty might be the better option for you.

How Long Does it Last?

Unlike surgical blepharoplasty which is a permanent operation, a non-surgical eyelid lift can last up to two years or more. The longevity of the results depends on the technique and the patient’s body. The body absorbs dermal fillers and PDO threads. If your body absorbs the medium quickly, your face will show signs of aging soon. However, you can optimize your outcomes with maintenance procedures.

What Are the Side Effects of Non-surgical Eyelid Lift?

The common side effects that patients may experience after the procedure are swelling, bruising, and scarring. But these effects are manageable and will disappear within a few days. Sometimes, a non-surgical blepharoplasty can lead to complications such as puffiness, infection, bleeding, dry eyes, blurry vision, and double vision numbness of the eyelid among others. The good news is that your plastic surgeon can correct these complications with little to no downtime. But you need to report anything unusual as soon as possible.

How Is Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift Performed?

A non-surgical eyelid lift procedure takes about 30 minutes. Using Botox and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, the practitioner fills the places with lost fat, shaping the skin to achieve a smoother and suppler texture. The Botox injection will relax some depressing muscle in the peri-orbital area, which results in eyelid lift. In places where the skin is sagging or drooping, PDO threads can tighten the excess skin, leading to instant improvements in the appearance of the eyelids. Before the procedure, the practitioner applies a local anesthetic cream to the face to reduce discomfort and pain during the operation. Most dermal fillers also have anesthetic agents to numb the needle’s point of entry to reduce pain. Unlike surgical blepharoplasty, a non-surgical eyelid lift is faster, more affordable, and has instant results. The procedure does not involve making cuts into your skin, and even techniques that use threads are superficial. There are no cuts, no excessive bleeding, and a low risk of complications.

When Will I See Results?

The result of a non-surgical eyelid lift is instant. You will notice improvements immediately after the operation. However, the best results become visible after 3-6 weeks of the eyelid lift.

Why Choosing Albany for my eyelid lift

The answer is simple, we are good at what we do and we really care. We provide you will full information and multiple options to choose from

Blepharoplasty Without Surgery

What is non-surgical blepharoplasty?

A non-surgical blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) using injectable fillers is used to revitalize and freshen the eye region. This procedure may be used to improve the look of fine lines, wrinkles, hollows, dark circles, and under-eye bags. In contrast to a standard blepharoplasty, a non-surgical blepharoplasty does not include surgery, incisions, or sutures. We treat non-surgical blepharoplasty using hyaluronic acid fillers and PDO threads.

Candidates for non-surgical eyelid lifts

Candidates undergoing non-surgical blepharoplasty should be in generally excellent condition and have reasonable expectations. Each patient will be evaluated individually to establish their suitability for a non-surgical eyelid lift. This session will include a thorough examination of the ocular region. Candidates will meet with us to discuss their worries and expectations for this treatment. Following that, we will develop a comprehensive therapy plan for the patient. We are committed to serving as a resource for patients throughout their treatment.

In addition to injectable fillers, what else might be incorporated in a non-surgical blepharoplasty?

Other non-surgical procedures may often be combined with injectable fillers to provide a tailored non-surgical blepharoplasty. When fillers alone are ineffective in treating lower eyelid creases, skin resurfacing techniques such as microneedling, fractionated laser, or chemical peel might be used concurrently. These treatments may help improve the appearance of fine wrinkles and stimulate collagen production to thicken the skin on the eyelids. We can assist you in evaluating yourself and determining whether you are a candidate. Often, we will propose a procedure to address the crow’s feet region as well. Additionally, if there is mild hyperpigmentation in the lower eyelid area, a medically recommended nightly skin brightening lotion may be utilized to lighten the skin’s tone.
