Thread facelift Results
A silhouette facelift is the most advanced non-surgical facelift any cosmetic clinic can provide. They offer immediate tightening and gradual regenerative results because they are made of biodegradable sutures.
Thread lifts are a non-surgical treatment in which threads are introduced just under the skin’s surface to lift and strategically rearrange the skin. Because the threads are a foreign substance your body does not recognize, they activate a wound-healing response, increasing natural collagen, elastin, and binding tissue synthesis. The natural production of these vital components enables your body to retain the benefits of your thread lift.
What are the threads?
They are cosmetic sutures made of polymers such as poly-lactic acid (PLLA) and polydioxanone (PDO) threads. Their advantage is the immediate lifting without adding volume to the area.
Threads were first used for cosmetic purposes in the late 1990s. However, Canada was late to adopt this practice. Threading is a simple but difficult technique. The threads are inserted through a cannula and tucked behind the skin.
