Facelift with PDO threads in Edmonton
The paradigm of fillers and threads
What would you do if you have volume but you need to reshape your face in Edmonton? we need a combination of Threads and Filler because Adding more volume will help but it will not be the perfect option.
This lovely client came to us so we can help her with a couple of issues
1- Marionette lines
As you can see, her face is not lacking volume, but due to gravity, our faces start to an inverted V shape, which is correlated with getting old.
Injecting fillers in the upper face will not really help as we will add volume to the upper face without correction the lower face, which is the main problem
HA fillers are a wonderful option is the change of the face shape and the required facelift is associated with volume loss. with this client, her face is full and adding more volume is the wrong answer. We need an option to lift the face up without adding volume
The PDO threads are bio-compatible bio-degradable material, The BARD type have claws that hold on the tissue layers to defy the gravity. The threads are loaded on a blunt cannula and is inserted in the subdermal plane of the skin. We gain entry to the skin through a sharp needle then insert the tip of the cannula into the skin and place the thread. The entry point of the thread for a facelift in Edmonton is the zygoma area. We start by freezing the area with lidocaine injection then we use a 21g needle to make a tiny hole for the thread entry. the total number of thread varies from client to client but it is average of 6-8 threads in total (3-4 in each side)
as you see on the slide the results are amazing, you will notice instant improvement but the final results will be noticed in about 2-3 weeks.
the mouth is more smiley, the shadow at the marionette lines and nasolabial folds disappeared, the face is lifted in V shape and the shadow under the eye is significantly less.
