Who is a candidate for lip filler?

Lip fillers are a personal choice. Pursuing your body’s needs and desires may be liberating.

To be considered for lip fillers, you should meet the following criteria:

Maintain a healthy bodily state.
Maintain reasonable expectations.
Not to be suffering from an active oral infection, such as canker sores or cold sores.
Many patients who have lip fillers do so to enlarge their lips. You may choose to increase the size of your lips for a variety of reasons, including the following:

You are restoring the size of the lips to their prior state. Your lips may get smaller or thinner as you age, your philtrum (the groove between your upper lip and septum) may become longer and flatter, and the distance between your mouth’s corners (intercommissural distance) may grow.
Lip contour correction. It is usual for your lips to vary in size or shape (asymmetrical).
Wrinkles are smoothed. Wrinkles on the corners of your mouth occasionally form when you grin or laugh.
Increasing self-esteem. Lip fillers can make you feel better about yourself and your body image.

What is the purpose of lip filler?

Lip fillers either repair or augment the volume of your lips. They do not reverse the aging process, but they may help postpone the need for more invasive surgical lip augmentation procedures such as lip implants or a lip lift. Additionally, they may assist you in achieving the desired appearance, which can increase your self-esteem.

Your lips may lose volume over time for a variety of reasons, including the following:

Genetics.
Smoking.
Damage caused by the sun.
How frequently are lip filler operations performed?
Lip filler treatments are quite popular. Over 2.1 million lip filler operations were performed in 2018 by healthcare practitioners.

How long is lip fillers effective?

Lip fillers have a normal duration of 12 to 18 months. However, this varies according to your age and the rate at which your body converts calories to energy (metabolism). Because younger individuals burn calories more quickly, lip fillers do not stay as long.
