Fraxel Dual to correct Facial scars #1061
Imagine you could take all your skin concerns, like hyperpigmentation, acne scars, dullness, and fine lines and peel them all away to reveal a new layer of glowy, healthy skin. That’s essentially what Fraxel lasers do. Most patients seek Fraxel laser treatments for three reasons, hyperpigmentation or sun damage, wrinkles, and acne scarring. People commonly have lasers applied to their whole faces, but the neck, décolletage, hands, and arms are also areas to treat.
What is a Fraxel laser?
Fraxel laser Treatment is a line of non-surgical lasers for facial rejuvenation, a concept of dermatological treatment that takes advantage of the skin’s regenerative process by treating it fractionally.
Fraxel Scar Removal Case #1061
A female in her late 20’s came in with concerns regarding a scar on her cheek on the right side of her face and underlying pigmentation issues. After carefully reviewing her options and keeping her medical history in mind, we decided to use the Fraxel laser, which would give the best results. We recommended 3-4 sessions one month apart. This specific procedure is about an hour long but requires a minimum of 2 hours with numbing.
The Fraxel Scar Removal procedure
We used alcohol to clean the skin’s surface to ensure no residue of the numbing cream left over. We used the Fraxel dual laser with 1550 with four passes of each section at 15/5, then switched to 1972 with four passes at 15/5. We also use a cooling air machine to help with the discomfort during the treatment and apply the Zo epidermal repair cream right after the treatment. The Patient received Hexam cleanser, Lexxel cream, and Sheer SPF from Vivier and an ice pack to help with the heat for the next 2-3 hours post-treatment. These products are extremely important 72 hours after the treatment as the initial healing affects the results.
Fraxel Scar Removal Cost
Each session is $900.00, but we offer a package of 3 sessions at our center with a 20% discount.
Fraxel Scar Removal Side effects
The main side effects to be expected are swelling, redness, dryness, flakiness, or even a sandpaper texture which lasts up to 5-7 days but varies with each person depending on their skin type.
