Bellafill Injections Results, A case Study

Bellafill injection results

Bellafill filler differs from hyaluronic acid fillers in properties such as durability, reversibility, and price.

Properties of Bellafill

Before Bellafill After Bellafill

Bellafill filler consists of small microspheres of polymethyl methacrylate polymer (PMMA) carried in a base of bovine collagen gel. In other words, it has both immediate and long-acting results. After that, the bed of collagen gel works as an immediate filler. However, the microspheres of the PMMA in the Bellafiil create an inducer for natural collagen formation. Therefore, the results might last up to 5 years. On the other hand, and unlike HA fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, Bellafill is not reversible and cannot be dissolved using enzyme injection. The injection is performed using a blunt cannula.

Bellafill Edmonton

The Bellafill is a Health Canada-approved for acne scars and nasolabial fold. Therefore, health Canada does not require to perform allergy tests anymore.

Case Study # 1043

A patient in his 50 with severe facial fat atrophy had received two syringes of Bellafill before at our clinic and had positive results. Therefore, he returned to get 8 more Bellafill syringes in a different part of his face. Firstly, the collagen-based fillers were acclimated at room temperature for 45 min. After that, the fillers were implanted, at different depth levels, using 22 and 25 TSK blunt cannula. Moreover, the procedure was performed under cold air and local vibration to make it more comfortable.

Results

There are the before and after pictures, taken about 1 hour apart. The swelling and redness after getting Bellafill fillers will subsidize in 72 hours. However, the chance of bruising is minimal as we used a blunt cannula and cold air during the procedure

Cost

The previous Bellafill case cost $8K. However,  the treatment price varies according to the injection type and the time required.
