- If you are prone to cold sores, consult your doctor about taking antiviral medication before the treatment to prevent an outbreak.
Treatment Day
- Arrive with a clean face, free from makeup.
- Inform your practitioner of any allergies, health conditions, or history of cold sores.
- Follow your practitioner’s pre-treatment instructions.
- Avoid wearing any makeup or skincare products on your lips.
- Avoid consuming alcohol or caffeine.
Immediate Aftermath (First 24 Hours)
- Apply ice packs to reduce swelling and discomfort.
- Stay hydrated and eat soft foods.
- Keep your head elevated while sleeping to minimize swelling.
- Follow any aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.
- Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging your lips.
- Avoid engaging in strenuous physical activity.
- Avoid exposing your lips to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
- Use any products on your lips only if approved by your practitioner.
First 1-3 Days
- Continue to apply ice packs as needed.

- Take Arnica supplements or apply Arnica gel if recommended to reduce bruising.
- Use a gentle lip balm to keep your lips moisturized.
- Avoid consuming alcohol or engaging in activities that can cause sweating.
- Avoid using straws or drinking hot beverages.
- Avoid wearing heavy makeup around the treated area.
- If you notice signs of a cold sore, contact your doctor immediately for advice on antiviral treatment.
First Week
