Nose fillers

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty, sometimes known as a “liquid nose job” or a “15-minute nose job”, is performed with a dermal filler to alter the contour of your nose for up to 6 months. This treatment is great for those who want to smooth out irregularities in their nose or make it appear less angular but aren’t ready for a permanent solution or are concerned about the dangers and recovery time associated with a traditional rhinoplasty.

What does the procedure look like?

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty involves using dermal filler materials to alter the contour of your nose. In the regions where you want smoother lines or more volume, a gel-like injectable substance (typically hyaluronic acid) is injected beneath your skin using a blunt cannula. The filler ingredient integrates with the deeper skin layers and retains its form. Depending on your complexion, desired outcomes, and the filler used, this might modify the appearance of your nose, lasting four months to 1 year.

Side effects and risks

The main adverse effect of nose fillers in most individuals will experience some redness and sensitivity in the injection location for a day or two following the injection.

Other probable adverse effects are as follows: bruising, swelling, filler migration, and nausea.

What to Expect Following Treatment

You may have discomfort, swelling, and redness where your injection was placed during liquid rhinoplasty. The injection should begin to settle after an hour or two. The redness should start to fade, and you should see the intended effects more clearly.

Bring an ice pack with you to your visit. Please consult your healthcare team to see whether it is safe to use to reduce redness and inflammation. Within a week or two, complete results should be evident. By then, any redness or bruising should have subsided entirely in terms of downtime; those who swear by liquid rhinoplasty like the fact that there is virtually no recovery period. You can return to work and your usual activities the next day. Within six months, most filler chemicals will dissolve into your skin layer. Some filler substances have a shelf life of up to three years. Whatever the case, the effects of a liquid nose job are not permanent.
