Goal: Natural refinement—sharper Cupid’s bow, balanced proportions, hydrated texture.

Patient & Concerns

  • Adult female, no prior lip augmentation.
  • Wanted a subtle, professional look; correct mild right-left asymmetry and soft vermilion border.

Baseline Assessment

  • Lip ratios ~Upper:Lower ≈ 1:1.6; target close to 1:1.4.
  • Good dentolabial support; appropriate tooth show; skin healthy.
  • Standardized photos taken (frontal/45° oblique).

Treatment Summary

  • Product: Revanesse® Kiss (hyaluronic acid)
  • Total Volume: 1.2 mL (one syringe) — $550 CAD
  • Anesthesia: Topical + vibration analgesia
  • Cannula/Needle: 25G cannula (lateral body), 30G needle (border/tubercles)
  • Technique: Micro-aliquots with linear threading and micro-bolus; light tenting for border definition; slow, low-pressure injections with continuous movement and frequent blanch checks.
  • Allocation (approx.):
    • Upper lip 0.55 mL — Cupid’s bow peaks, central tubercle, gentle border refinement
    • Lower lip 0.65 mL — central tubercle + mild lateral support
  • Safety: Aseptic prep; aspiration where appropriate; normal capillary refill throughout; hyaluronidase/emergency kit on hand. No adverse events.

Outcome (2-Week Review)

  • Improved symmetry and gentle anterior projection
  • Texture appears smoother/more hydrated
  • Final ratio: ~1:1.4 while preserving ethnic harmony

  • Sleep head elevated first night; emollient only; no dental work 2 weeks
  • Return urgently for pain with blanching, livedo, or visual symptoms (vascular red flags reviewed)
